Upper Hutt Pétanque Club has retained the Jacques Cochonnet trophy on their home ground after a spirited challenge from Horowhenua.

A most enjoyable nine games were played and whilst a couple of them were very close, Upper Hutt won all nine.

The JC Trophy games are untimed and only end when one team reaches 13 points. The first of the triples games finished after 2hr 10m which is extreme. Thankfully the next two were much quicker as everyone was getting hungry.
